Quarterly Survey- We need to know so we can tell Government!

Quarterly Survey - We need to know so we can tell Government!

I am writing to invite you to take part in our Quarter 3 member survey. With the summer holiday season approaching, we've shortened this quarter’s survey so we hope it will take less of your time.

With ongoing challenges around cost pressures, energy prices and labour shortages, this is an important opportunity for us to take the temperature of the sector and feed this into Government, opposition parties and wider stakeholders.

The data collected will also feed into our submissions into the Treasury, ahead of an Autumn Statement. This will be our main opportunity for the rest of the year to influence tax policy.

The results will also assist in our ongoing discussions with Ministers, officials and the regulator on energy pricing. We are constantly asked for evidence to support the case for action, and these member surveys are vital in providing this.

Ongoing evidence on staff shortages help us to make the case for more intervention to boost the labour market – whether this is supporting more over-50s back into the market or interventions on childcare.

As always, all information will be treated as private and confidential and only aggregated data will be published and shared with policymakers.

Thank you once again for your time in completing this survey, the results are invaluable in making the case for the sector.

We urge those of you with multiple venues to please ask those parts of your business to each fill in the survey separately for their respective part.  We ask this, as it will enhance the granularity of the data which we are able to collect and share with HM Treasury.

The data gathered will be shared on a collective or subsector basis and no names will be shared or attributed to responses.

The Deadline for responses have been extended to close of play FRIDAY 28th JULY.

The months running up to the Autumn Statement could be crucial to the recovery and future fortune of our sector.

Thank you once again for your incredible support – it has got us this far, through unprecedented time, but can take us yet further.

Yours sincerely

Colin Neill
