HOSPITALITY ULSTER ENTERTAINMENT SURVEY14 April 2025 Amongst the many issues of concern in the recently published Review of Liquor Licensing and Surrender Principle was the suggestion that Northern Ireland lacked a diverse offering of entertainment and culture, claiming that we consisted of "old men's pubs" that lacked any real entertainment, and that additional licensed premises were needed to provide a more diverse offering.Clearly, the authors of the report failed to recognise that pubs in Northern Ireland are very different from those in England in both their opening hours and offerings. Indeed, the report entirely overlooked the fact that our licensing laws require many pubs, bars, nightclubs, and music venues to provide live entertainment in order to serve alcohol after 11 pm. To assist us in refuting this incorrect assertion, could you please complete the following short survey regarding the entertainment you offer: Click here to complete survey Responses required by 21 April 2025
