Some people have difficulty eating, drinking or swallowing. This is also known as ‘dysphagia’. This can affect their quality of life as socialising in restaurants, cafes and pubs may be stressful and challenging. It can often deter them and their families from eating and drinking in hospitality venues.

The Swallow Aware factsheet outlines 10 top tips which can be used to support people with dysphagia and improve their experience and confidence when eating and drinking in hospitality venues.
