About Hospitality Ulster
(3)(1).png)
Hospitality Ulster is the leading trade body for Northern Ireland's hospitality industry, bringing together pubs, hotels, bars, restaurants, cafés, and the wider hospitality community to speak with one united voice.
As part of the UKHospitality family, our members play a central role in shaping hospitality policy at both Stormont and Westminster, while benefiting from enhanced resources, expertise, and support across a wide range of business and operational issues.
Our origins date back to 1872 with the establishment of the Belfast and Ulster Licensed Vintners Association, which was formed to represent the interests of licensed premises throughout the region. As the hospitality industry has evolved, so too have our membership and the organisation itself, expanding its remit to include unlicensed premises and a broader range of hospitality businesses. Today, our membership reflects the changing nature, diversity, and needs of the hospitality sector across Northern Ireland.
Hospitality Ulster operates as a not-for-profit membership organisation governed by a Board of industry representatives drawn from every part of Northern Ireland and from across all sectors of hospitality. This industry-led governance structure ensures that the organisation remains member-focused, representative, and responsive to the diverse needs of the businesses it serves.
Today, Hospitality Ulster continues its long-standing role as the recognised voice of the hospitality industry in Northern Ireland, providing advocacy, support, representation, and leadership on behalf of its members. Through engagement with government, policymakers, stakeholders, and industry partners, we work to create the conditions for a stronger, more competitive, and sustainable hospitality sector.
