CEO comments on Ten Square Belfast going into administration

20 January 2015

Following the news that Ten Square Hotel, Belfast, has gone into administration, Colin Neill, Chief Executive of Pubs of Ulster commented:

“The news that Ten Square has gone into administration is very disappointing and despite recent reports that Northern Ireland’s pubs and restaurants are at a lower risk of insolvency than their UK counterparts, we can see that the hospitality industry is still facing significant challenges.

Hotels in particular operate in a very competitive and ever-changing marketplace. I am glad to hear the business will continue to operate as normal until a resolution can be found and I would be hopeful that the business itself would present a promising opportunity because of its prominent city centre location and the fact that it has traded very well for many years.”
