Breaking Pubs of Ulster CEO and Chairman to meet with Assistant Chief Constable

07 December 2010

Pubs of Ulster Chief Executive Colin Neill and Chairman Sorcha Wolsey are set to meet with PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Will Kerr this afternoon.

Their meeting is vital for the trade in ensuring that the PSNI tackle rogue traders operating outside the terms of their license, an issue which will strike a chord with law abiding publicans across the province. Illegal trading is often seen as a victimless crime, many do not see the direct harm to jobs and businesses within our unique pubs and heritage. They will also press for strict equality of law enforcement between pubs, registered clubs and restaurants. More details to follow.
