Free People 1st Networking and Masterclass Event in Co. Down

11 November 2010

People 1st is holding a free networking and masterclass event for hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism businesses in the Co. Down region next month.

The Through the Door' event, taking place at Montalto Estate in Ballynahinch on 9 December, will share the experiences of local business owners and give attendees information on opportunities, funding and programmes for Northern Ireland businesses. Customers are the lifeblood of the hospitality and tourism industries and, in the current climate, every business needs to keep their existing customers as well as attracting new ones. Employers attending the event will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the experiences of local business owners who have clearly got that message. Guest speakers include Nikki McQuillan, co-founder of The Streat Caf franchise, and David Anderson, general manager of Montalto, whose knowledge, stories and experiences will prove both inspirational and valuable. Attendees will also have access to a number of business support organisations at the event. Experts will be on hand to advise on opportunities including innovation vouchers', management and leadership development support and apprenticeships. Places at this event are free. To register, contact Catherine Mawdesley at catherine.mawdesley@people1st.co.uk stating Through The Door Ballynahinch,' and your name and organisation. Alternatively, call Catherine on 028 9044 7736. This Through the Door' event is being organised by People 1st, with funding support from the Department for Employment and Learning, as part of the Future Skills Action Plan for Hospitality and Tourism.
