Rates Arrears Further Proof of Industry Plight

08 February 2011

A report on the rates arrears of 'Licensed Commercial Premises' in January has further highlighted the plight of Northern Ireland's Pub Industry.

The figures, broken down by District Council, show a grand total of 9,000,000 in arrears across the province, with the average debt per-premises coming in at around the 13-15 thousand mark. This is further proof, if any was needed, the the Industry was in trouble, and without fast action we stand to lose a high number of Licenced Premises in the very near future. Pubs of Ulster is engaging tirelessly with local government for relief and assistance, and will continue to do so. (You can download the table from Industry Support -> General Downloads)
