Food NI Works Hand In Hand On Licensing Bill With Hospitality Ulster

"At a period of time when we have a burgeoning drinks sector and almost 40 local businesses aiming to expand not to mention plans for several tourist attractions, it is vital that these draconian laws are updated.

We will continue to work hand in hand with Hospitality Ulster to ensure that these issues are brought to the fore.

Thankfully the issue was widely debated at Committee Stage and I am grateful that many local businesses took the opportunity to state their case.

There is now a broader understanding of the issue for producers which constitutes a restraint to trade, and the need to build the region's reputation as a great food and drink region."
