Pubs of Ulster has secured a series of workshops with Land and Property Services (LPS), in order for licensees to question senior LPS personnel about the recent revaluation of business rates for the hospitality sector.

Whelan Commercial, Pubs of Ulster’s Key Service Provider for property and rates related issues, will also be in attendance.

The rates revaluation was intended to help re-distribute the rating burden in a fairer way. However, there was a mixed reaction throughout the hospitality industry as rates increased in some areas but reduced or stayed the same in others.

This is an opportunity for you to hear about how the revaluation will affect you, how the calculations have been made, and what you can do to appeal your valuation if you feel it is incorrect. It is also a chance to ask any general property or rates related questions you might have to a panel of experts.

The workshops will be taking place on the following dates.
