September Trading Survey Results

Below are results of September's trading survey, in which we asked respondents to indicate the percentage increase or decrease in both food and drinks sales for the month of September.

These results are from a sample of premises with a geographical spread across Northern Ireland and from a variation of cities, towns, villages and rural locations in order to give the most accurate possible data.

Please note that for future trading surveys, only those who respond will receive results.

 

DRINKS SALES (versus the same period last month)

  • 28% of respondents saw an increase of 3 - 6% on drinks sales
  • 17% of respondents saw an increase of 7 - 10% on drinks sales
  • 28% of respondents saw no change in drinks sales
  • 16% of respondents saw a decrease of up to 5% on drinks sales
  • 11% of respondents saw a decrease of 6 - 10% on drinks sales

 

FOOD SALES (versus the same period last month)

  • 33% of respondents saw an increase of 3 - 8% on food sales
  • 12% of respondents saw an increase of 9-10%+ on food sales
  • 44% of respondents saw no change on food sales
  • 11% of respondents saw a decrease of 4-5% on food sales
